Dr. Duane Hunt grew up on a small dairy farm in Northeast Arizona, where he learned to care for and love animals at a young age. He received his Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and then went on to Colorado State University, where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. After graduation, Dr. Hunt worked as an associate for a very busy and very successful small-animal practice in Scottsdale, AZ, for six years until he opened Homestead Animal Clinic.
The facility at 2020 E. Brown Road, Mesa, has been a veterinary clinic for 29 years. In October 2004, the building was vacated and the business moved to a new location. In June 2005, Dr. Hunt acquired the building. After a couple of months of fixing up and cleaning up, Homestead Animal Clinic quietly opened its doors in mid-August. We are now open and eager to help you and your pets (see Services).
